Infrastructure:
At present, TRUSLER.net is hosted by WIPC
in Florida. By the end of February, the site will move to a server
in Ottawa, via Bell
Canada's ADSL service. TRUSLER.net will have about 1.1Mbps of
bandwidth, which is equavalent to about 3/4 of a T1 line. This will
allow TRUSLER.net to set up its own mail server, and expand to a much greater
number of POP3 mail boxes.
Other Intentions
and Domains:
It has already been pointed out that the domain
trusler.net does not serve the needs of all Trus(s)lers equally.
Therefore, it is the intention of TRUSLER.net to acquire the trussler.net
domain as well, pending a) availability, b) the server move and c) financial
viability.
It is inevitable that name collisions will occur
where two members desire the same user name (in fact, one occurred early
on). Therefore, TRUSLER.net may aquire the trusler.nom and trussler.nom
domains as well, pending on the same factors.
The acquisition of more domains may only assure
that more email addresses become available, but not necessarily www addresses.
This might be determined by Bell's ADSL capabilities.
